Our journey
2019: Celebrating the launch of our crowdfunding campaign with the NU Lady Bulldogs, the subjects of our first podcast series
Go Hard Girls is redefining the sports industry to uplift Filipina athletes and inspire women to win both on and off the court. Founded against the odds in a male-dominated field, Go Hard Girls emerged as the Philippines' first show focused on women’s sports—defying industry voices that doubted a women-centric sports program could succeed.
Through a powerful grassroots crowdfunding campaign, we proved the demand for stories of women athletes, and we've only grown stronger since. Today, Go Hard Girls is more than a podcast: it’s a movement and a platform for women’s empowerment in sports.
We’re driven by a vision to make sports more inclusive and inspiring for women everywhere. Through partnerships with commercial brands, NGOs, and grant-giving bodies, we’ve expanded into community events and workshops dedicated to improving the coverage and visibility of Filipina athletes.
Join us in building a sports culture where women can define success on their own terms.
2019: Partnered with GMA News Online to adapt our podcast series on basketball into a multimedia cover story. This would later be awarded at the Society of Publishers in Asia Awards.

2020: We were the first local media outlet to produce a longform documentary about Nesthy Petecio, even before she competed in the Olympics. When she won her silver medal, Go Hard Girls was quoted by the official Olympics website in their coverage.

2022: As we emerged from the pandemic, we began having more face-to-face engagements like motivational talks in universities. We also participated in career talks in different schools.

2023: Got to see the joy and power of community up close at our community meetups! Our "Badass Brunch" was attended by national athletes, sports journalists, NGO workers, and women from corporate jobs!

2023: Held the Go Hard Girls Workshops, a 2-day training to upskill local sports journalists and creators in covering women's without gender bias. Our attendees included professionals as well as college students and athletes transitioning to a career in sports media.

2024: We launched the Go Hard Girls Grants — because uplifting women's sports means growing the space for more storytellers to make a difference. Supported by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, we helped 10 deserving storytellers create their own podcast episodes as guest correspondents of Go Hard Girls.
